Don't wait for your boss to become a better leader

Surprisingly, national surveys, indicate that a huge percentage of people are unclear about what's expected of them on a day to day basis. That’s an amazing finding. Most workers are not clear about what is expected of them. That leads to wasted effort, worker frustration, disengagement and it’s happening in spite of big investments in leadership training.

So stop waiting for your boss to tell you and don’t give up if your boss doesn’t exhibit strong leadership. You can get direction, understand context and exceed expectations by asking clear, thoughtful questions. Your questions can provide the launching off point to a more fully articulated vision, better understanding of context and a straighter path to desires outcome.
